The Special Adviser to the President on Social Investments, Mrs Maryam Uwais during an interview with ChannelsTV said that the names of beneficiaries of the Conditional Cash Transfer cannot be published.
She said those names can not be made public and must remain a secret. Recall that the federal government had commenced the Conditional Cash Transfer program and reportedly started the process in some northern states. However, there had been an increasing request by the public over the transparency of the program and how the monies are being shared, people were also interested on how the federal government was able to come up with names of the poorest and most vulnerable households in Nigeria.
She responded that those names can not be made public, hear her below;

So if you aren’t poor from your judgement, why collect the money labelled relief for the poor? Makes no sense. We need a social security scheme for everyone, not for a selected few. Some people live in cities, it doesn’t make them Supposedly ‘not poor, many struggle to pay rents.
