The Chief of Army Staff, Ibrahim Attahiru has died after being involved in a plane crash.
The late Chief of Army Staff was among the reported eight people on board the aircraft that crashed in Kaduna by 6.00pm today, Friday.
His untimely death comes barely two months after he sent a warning to the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu and Yoruba activist, Sunday Igboho.
On the 23rd March, 2021, the late Chief of Army Staff vowed to crush the duo and said that the Army will deal decisively with every form of security threat confronting the nation, including those posed by the secessionist agitators like Igboho and Nnamdi Kanu.
“The Nigerian Army under my leadership would remain proactive and jointly work with other security agencies to decisively deal with threats facing the nation.
“The Nigerian Army under my watch remains resolute and is poised more than ever before to decisively deal with individuals or groups that threaten the peace, security and stability of our great nation,” the late Chief of Army Staff had vowed.
