A suspected serial killer who escaped from police custody last week in Ibadan has been re-arrested by Operatives of the Nigerian Police force in Oyo.
His re-arrest was confirmed by the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu.
Sunday Shodipe who had fled from custody on 11th August was re-arrested on Sunday, August 23rd, 2020 by operatives from the Bodija Area of Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital.
The Police spokesperson, Sunday Mba told the Oyo State Command to very vigilant against any form of compromise within the command. He further added that everyone must be on their toes to bring this case to a successful closure.
In his statement, the suspect had informed the force he was sent by an Herbalist on a mission to kill but his claims were denied by the said Herbalist who is also in the custody of the Police.
To quickly recapture Sunday Sodipe, a 500,000 bounty was placed on him and this aided his quick re-arrest.
