An Igbo group has declared its intention to provide funding and install the next President in Nigeria of Igbo extraction.
The group, World Igbo People’s Assembly (WIPAS) will raise 500 Billion Naira to support any 2023 Presidential candidate of Igbo Extraction.
This was contained in a release by the group spokesperson, Chief Emeka Nwachukwu who said the Igbo have waited long to produce a President for Nigeria.
Chief Emeka who hoped that Ndigbo’s and other good Nigerian around the world would contribute to this massive and cost-intensive project as they embark on the consultation of good Nigerian and Igbo leaders at home and in the diaspora.
He solicited that good Nigerians should consider the vast tribe for the Presidency to help salvage the country.
“The WIPAS team will soon meet the “who is who” in Nigeria and congratulated General Yakubu Gowon, General Ibrahim Babangida, General Ishola Williams, Chief E K Clark, Alhaji Balarabe Musa, Chief Ebenezar Babatope, Mallam El Rufai, Buba Galadima, Tanko Yakassai and many other persons of other ethnic groups that are in support of Igbo’s for 2023 Presidential race”. He further added that anything that is needed to jump-start this race is in place and anything else needed to fuel this race must be done with due process.
