Ibrahim Magu the ex-anti graft agency acting boss kicks against secret trail and seeks Appearance at the Judiciary Commission panel to defend himself of the charges labelled against him.
The suspended acting EFCC Boss has raised alarm on what He described as a deliberate attempted to denied him fair hearing after his lawyer has been excluded from many of the proceeding.
Magu is being investigated for alleged abuse of office and mismanagement of the Federal Government recovered assets while acting as the Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, a Nigerian Anti-graft agency.
This was contained in a letter by this lawyers, Wahab Shitu address to the Chairman of the commission. Mr Magu kicked against secret trial and his exclusion from many sessions where many opposition witness where invited by the Judicial commission to testify against him by the Salami lead panel.
According to Shitu, the suspended commission boss was a principle subject of the Judicial commission of enquiry and as such is entitled to be served copies of the allegations against him or at best a copy of the terms of reference.
It can be recalled that Magu has served a five year tenure at the EFCC as an acting chairman whose appointment was never confirm by the Saraki lead 8th Senate and with the removal of Senator Saraki as the Senate President, President Bihari has not sent Magu’s name back to the 9th Senate lead my Senator Ahmad Lawan for screening nor confirmation of his appointment.
