Senator Shehu Sani has joined other Nigerians to err their views over the recent news that Nigerians overseas are to pay for their flights to Nigeria as part of the evacuation process and also pay for their isolation.
The ever-vibrant Senator made it clear that it is wrong for such demands to be made.
He took to his offickal Twitter account and said;
If distressed Nigerians in diaspora have to pay to be evacuated & have to pay for Isolation centers when back home,then we should formally paste a Cheque Book on our National flag & affix a Bank note to our Coat of Arms.Expect not patriotism from a man abandoned by his country.
Many other Nigerians have reacted differently to this development, read their thoughts below;
I cancelled my returning ticket immediately I had that Corona enter Nigeria because I knew that I will be treated well abroad if I contacted it than in Nigeria.
Ignorance, Canada charged $5,000 each for those they evacuated from Nigeria for the flight and two weeks isolation cost, so other countries too, please don’t spread your hatred here.
Isn’t that inciting, Senator?
If you want bring about changes to this situation, you knew these people very well – so why don’t you talk to them?
Remember, you tweeted that @MBuhari’s CoS ‘s your friend – isn’t that a good chance for you?
A good reader shouldn’t write this way.
