As Nigerians continue to debate and err their views on the fuel subsidy withdrawal, some Nigerians have made notable revelations and this has to be the greatest of them.
Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar has revealed that Adams Oshiomole kicked against the withdrawal of subsidy while he was the Chairman of the Nigerian Labor Congress (NLC).
Atiku Abubakar who served as Vice President under President Olusegun Obasanjo revealed this through his official Twitter handle.
The Obasanjo government in which I served commenced a phased subsidy withdrawal. I was tasked with negotiating with then NLC Chairman and current APC Chairman who stood strongly against it.
Nonetheless, we achieved two phases of subsidy removal of fuel and complete withdrawal of subsidy of diesel before we left office. -AA.
